COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT 2017

Riverview Bank (and its operating divisions, Halifax Bank, Marysville Bank, Citizens Neighborhood Bank, and Riverview Wealth Management) has deep roots in the communities we live and serve in.  Through financial support, our participation in the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC) and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit program (OSTC), and energetic employee volunteerism, we are committed to helping our local communities thrive.

Open House on June 17th

The Wyomissing Branch held an Open House on June 17th, and the entire team of Berks Region employees turned out to help!  L to R: Jennifer Amil, Marilou Bannister, Malysa Koyste, Rachel Garman, Angel Lambert, Teresa Reese, Sydney Kline, Kayla Care, Kathleen Tokonitz, Dan Weber, Susan Bushold, and Laurie Kercher.  For every new account opened until September, Riverview will donate $5.00 to the Berks Animal Rescue League or Restoring Hope.

Day of Caring

The Berks Region of Riverview Bank were “all ears” when they came together to pack 25 Easter baskets to benefit local children in need.  The baskets are part of a larger effort led by the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors.

Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneur Academy (YEA!) Program

Michelle Lewandowski, Eastern Region Manager, volunteered as a Mentor with the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneur Academy (YEA!) program.  She is pictured with Lindsay Griffin, the North Schuylkill student she advised throughout the program.  Lindsay, 14, received top honors at the 2017 Schuylkill Young Entrepreneurs Academy Investor Panel at Penn State Schuylkill. Lindsay received a $1,500 grant and was named a Saunders Scholar semifinalist in the YEA! Northeast Regional Semi-Finals, which will be held May 5 in Rochester, New York.
